Commercial carpet tiles installed across an open-plan office, laid around furniture with zero downtime for staff.

A Cheltenham business fitting out a new open-plan floor wanted a flooring solution that could handle roller chairs, constant foot traffic and the noise of a fully occupied office.

We specified carpet tiles for the job. They’re comfortable underfoot, they help with acoustics in an open-plan space, and individual tiles can be swapped out later if one area gets damaged rather than replacing an entire run. They also install with far less furniture movement than broadloom, which mattered here because the fitout was happening around a working team.

Work was carried out across a weekend and two evenings. The subfloor was assessed and prepared first, then tiles were laid in sections, with the workstation zones handled in stages so no one lost their desk for more than a few hours.

Staff returned Monday to a finished floor and a quieter office.
